Aesthetics & Creative Expressions The children should be able to identify and describe basic elements of art such as lines, shapes and textures. The children should also be able to represent simple things in the environment through their artworks.
The children should be able to create movement using imagination in response to music. They should also be able to create sounds with instruments and body percussions.
Discovery of the World The children should be able to observe and talk about living things, non-living things, places and events. They should also know the similarities and differences between them. The children should be aware of their role and responsibility in keeping the environment clean.
Language & Literacy The children should be able to make simple verbal requests and follow 2-step verbal instructions. They should be able to participate in discussions. The children should be able to recognise upper and lower case letters of the alphabets as well as their own name. They should know that print id read from left to right and should respond to stories and texts read aloud. They should use letter-like shapes, symbols and letters to convey meaning.
Motor Skills Development The children should be able to walk backwards and sideways. They should be able to run and avoid obstacles by adjusting speed or stopping. The children should be able to jumping place and forward. The children should be able to catch large objects and strike a stationary object.
The children should be able to fasten and unfasten things with zips or velcro fasteners They should also be able to thread large beads.
Numeracy The children should be able to match and sort objects by one attribute. They should be able to pair related objects. They should also know the names and order of the das of the week. The children should be able to rote count from 1-10 and count reliably one object at a time up to a collection of 5. They should also be able to recognize the 4 basic shapes and describe relative positions.
